COVID-19
To Our Communities, Residents, Family Members, and Visitors:
We know some of you may be concerned about the spread of COVID-19 (the new coronavirus) being reported in the media and how it may impact our community's staff and residents. Ensuring our residents are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our greatest concern. Currently, we don’t have any cases in any of our communities. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have recommended a variety of steps that we are implementing to help reduce the potential for the virus to enter our buildings.
Due to us serving a vulnerable population, we are limiting visits to those that are deemed “Medically Necessary” only. An example of this type of exceptional circumstance would include end of life. Due to the nature of the evolving situation of the COVID-19 virus within the region, we are unable to determine or set a timeline on which these limitations will be removed. We did not come to this decision lightly, and we will be assessing the situation daily to ensure we not only protect our residents and staff but consider our resident's comfort a top priority as well. We understand that connecting with family members is incredibly important, and there are a variety of ways you might consider connecting with them. These may include telephone, email, text, or through Skype and Facebook. As always, our staff is available to assist residents to get in touch with family 24 hours per day.
Grand Senior Living and our communities continue to stay up to date with the CDC recommendations as they are released. In addition, our community is in close contact with the local and state health department and are following their guidance. We are posting signs on our entryway doors to notify visitors of the new restrictions, and we continue to screen necessary personal such as staff and certain vendors daily.
