Grand Senior Living is seeking candidates with strong leadership and team development skills to manage a new assisted living in Washington, DC. Abrams Assisted Living will be a (54) studio unit affordable AL facility located on The Parks at Walter Reed. Qualified applicants should possess: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Senior-level community management experience. Special knowledge of Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses. Five years experience in a similar operation. A strong working knowledge of operational systems and departments, including; resident services and care, property maintenance, food services, purchasing, budgeting, basic accounting and financial management including Medicaid billing. Be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office and electronic health records. The ability to effectively direct staff and clearly communicate with residents and community partners is vital. Must be able to meet deadlines and report to owners and the management company on all business activities. The position is responsible for management of Abrams Assisted Living and directs activities of the directors, staff and contracted service providers on behalf of the community. The community provides its residents with services and amenities to deliver a high-quality living environment that meets or exceeds all applicable standards, regulations and policies. The Executive Director is expected to provide on-site management oversight and assist as necessary to assure that staff are informed and properly supported at all times. It is expected that the Executive Director will perform community outreach and be engaged in other public relations activities to support the marketing effort to fill and sustain stabilized occupancy of the community.
