In 2019, Grand Senior Living acquired Vergennes Residential Care Home after identifying a senior housing need was not being met, specifically, seniors needing assisted living and memory care and with varying levels of income. After several years of design and development, Vergennes Grand opened in March 2025.
The original 1820 historic building was restored back to its original Italianate splendor.
